Peter Albach is a German politician and member of the CDU. From 2005 to 2009 he was a member of the Bundestag of Germany. He did not run for the federal elections in 2009. Since 1990, he has uninterruptedly served as the mayor of Weißensee, Thuringia.

Seán Diarmiud Gallagher is an Irish businessman and reality television personality. He was a co-founder in 2000 of Smarthomes, which after initial success, failed in 2008–2010, and Gallagher departed in 2010–11. He was as a panellist on RTÉ's Dragons' Den from 2009–2011. Gallagher was an active member of Fianna Fáil for 30 years from 1981–2011, and sat on its National Executive twice. He spent much of his career before Smarthomes working in Fianna Fáil, and in the Irish public service. Gallagher failed in his 2011 presidential election bid, in which, despite his Fianna Fáil history, he stood as an Independent candidate, and finished second to Michael D. Higgins. Gallagher came third in a second 2018 presidential election bid.
