Blanche had a consistent modus operandi - when he spotted the victim, he would break into their house at night, bound her hands and got her to his car, driving to the outskirts of the city, under the threat of a knife. He then began terrorizing his victim, raping her once or repeatedly, usually in the middle of the countryside. His impulses now appeased, he started behaving as a friend or even a considerate companion, bringing his victim back to their home.
