Pope John XI was the bishop of Rome and nominal ruler of the Papal States from March 931 to his death. The true ruler of Rome at the time was his mother, Marozia, followed by his brother Alberic II. The period is known as Saeculum obscurum.

Gaetano Cicognani was an Italian Cardinal of the Catholic Church. He served as Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura from 1954 until his death, and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1953 by Pope Pius XII. To date, he and his brother, Amleto Giovanni Cicognani, are the last pair of brothers to serve simultaneously in the College of Cardinals.

Daniele Ratto is a former Italian professional road bicycle racer who rode for Androni Giocattoli–Sidermec. Born in Moncalieri, Ratto was a professional from 2010-2016, competing for the Carmiooro-NGC and Geox–TMC teams prior to moving to Liquigas–Cannondale for the 2012 season. Ratto signed a contract with UnitedHealthcare for the 2015 season.

Leoluca Orlando, is an Italian politician, current Mayor of Palermo. He was also mayor of the city in 1985–1990 and 1993–2000 and President of Italian Federation of American Football (FIDAF). He is best known for his strong opposition to the Sicilian Mafia during his mayoralty in the 1980s, which was publicly referenced in the media as the "Palermo Spring".

Marco Fabbri is an Italian ice dancer. With his skating partner, Charlène Guignard, he is the 2019 European bronze medalist, 2018–19 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, and three-time Italian national champion. The two are also four-time Lombardia Trophy champions, two-time Golden Spin of Zagreb champions, and eight-time Italian national silver medalists. They represented Italy at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics.
