As of January 2015, the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) had validated the longevity claims of 151 Italian supercentenarians. There are currently 16 known Italians alive over age 110; the oldest as of 25 February 2021 is Maria Oliva, born 16 April 1909, aged, 111 years, 315 days. The oldest Italian ever was Emma Morano, who was also the last living person born before the year 1900. She died on 15 April 2017, aged 117 years and 137 days.

Ivan Franco Capelli is an Italian former Formula One driver. He participated in 98 Grands Prix, debuting on 6 October 1985. He achieved three podiums, and scored a total of 31 championship points. From 1998 until 2017 he was a Formula One commentator on the Italian TV station Rai 1.

Nannina de' Medici
Nannina de' Medici, born Lucrezia de' Medici, was the second daughter of Piero di Cosimo de' Medici and Lucrezia Tornabuoni. She was thus the elder sister of Lorenzo de' Medici. She married Bernardo Rucellai. Her father's name was Piero, so she is sometimes known as Lucrezia di Piero de' Medici.
José de Ribas
Josep de Ribas y Boyons, known in Spanish as José Pascual Domingo de Ribas y Boyons and in Russian as Iosif (Osip) Mikhailovich Deribas, was an Italo-Spanish military officer from Naples, in Russian service. After Empress Catherine took advantage of Potocki's successful international trading post of the Polish Black Sea Trading Company, in Russian-ruled Kherson, she founded Odessa. In recognition of de Ribas' famous victory at nearby Khadjibey, the future city's most famous street, Deribasovskaya, was named after him. José de Ribas is one of the principal figures on the monument of Catherine the Great in Odessa and there is small personal monument to him at the beginning of Deribasovskaya street.
