Louis François René Panhard was a French engineer, merchant and a pioneer of the automobile industry in France.

Pierre Dervaux was a French operatic conductor, composer, and pedagogue. At the Conservatoire de Paris, he studied counterpoint and harmony with Marcel Samuel-Rousseau and Jean and Noël Gallon, as well as piano with Isidor Philipp, Armand Ferté, and Yves Nat. He also served as principal conductor of the Opéra-Comique (1947–53), and the Opéra de Paris (1956–72). In this capacity he directed the French première of Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. He was also Vice-President of the Concerts Pasdeloup (1949–55), President and Chief conductor of the Concerts Colonne (1958–92), Musical Director of the Orchestre des Pays de Loire (1971–79) as well as holding similar posts at the Quebec Symphony Orchestra (1968–75), where he collaborated with concertmaster Hidetaro Suzuki, and the Nice Philharmonic (1979–82).

Claude de Thiard de Bissy was a French soldier. He served his military career, rising to lieutenant-général des armées du roi in 1762 and fighting in the conquest of Franche-Comté and becoming governor of Languedoc and Auxonne.

Count Claude d'Aspremont Lynden is a Belgian economist and professor at the Universite Catholique de Louvain, Center for Operations Research and Econometrics (CORE), and Département des sciences économiques (ECON). He obtained a PhD at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University in 1973. His research focus is mathematical economics, social choice theory, and industrial organization. In 1995, he was awarded the Francqui Prize in Human Sciences.

Marcel Sembat was a French Socialist politician. He served as a member of the National Assembly of France from 1893 to 1922, and as Minister of Public Works from August 26, 1914 to December 12, 1916.
