List of Famous people born in Hungary

Noémi Szécsi is a Hungarian writer and translator. She was educated in Budapest and Helsinki. Her debut novel The Finno-Ugrian Vampire was published in 2002, and later translated into English. Her historical novel Communist Monte Cristo (2006) won the EU Prize for Literature.

Anna Sandor is an Hungarian-born Canadian/American screenwriter. Sandor began her career as an actress, becoming a writer in her mid-twenties. Her films have garnered numerous major awards, including multiple Emmy nominations, three Humanitas Prizes, the Writers Guild of America Award and the Gemini Award. She has also won the Margaret Collier Award for lifetime achievement in the Canadian industry.

Bertalan Farkas is the first Hungarian cosmonaut, space explorer, fighter pilot. The Hungarians were the seventh nation to be represented in space by him. Following him, the Hungarian-American Károly Simonyi was the second Hungarian cosmonaut, the only one in the world, who was twice in space as space tourist who paid himself for the spaceflights. The next Hungarian astronaut will travel to the International Space Station by 2025. Farkas is the first Esperantist cosmonaut too. He is currently the president of Airlines Service and Trade.
