Michael Gerber is a German Roman Catholic bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Fulda.

Josef "Sepp" Gangl was a German Major of the Wehrmacht and hero of the Austrian Resistance. He died on 5 May 1945 at Itter Castle, Tyrol. He took part in the defense of Itter Castle against troops of the 17th SS Panzer Grenadier Division "Götz von Berlichingen" with soldiers of the Wehrmacht, the US Army and French prisoners, and lost his life in the process.

Biruté Marija Filomena Galdikas or Biruté Mary Galdikas, OC, is a Lithuanian-Canadian anthropologist, primatologist, conservationist, ethologist, and author. She is a professor at Simon Fraser University. In the field of primatology, Galdikas is recognized as a leading authority on orangutans. Prior to her field study of orangutans, scientists knew little about the species.

Thomas Royen is a retired German professor of statistics who has been affiliated with the University of Applied Sciences Bingen. Royen came to prominence in the spring of 2017 for a relatively simple proof for the Gaussian Correlation Inequality (GCI), a conjecture that originated in the 1950s, which he had published three years earlier without much recognition. A proof of this conjecture, which lies at the intersection of geometry, probability theory and statistics, had eluded top experts for decades.

Lieselotte "Liesel" Westermann-Krieg is a retired German discus thrower. She held the world record from 5 November 1967 to 12 August 1971, with a two-months break in 1968. She competed for West Germany at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics and finished in second and fifth place, respectively. She won silver medals at the 1966 and 1971 European championships. For her athletics achievements Westermann was selected as the German Sportspersonality of the year in 1967 and 1969, and inducted into the Germany's Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.

Alexander Nuno Alvaro is a German politician and was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) with the Free Democratic Party of Germany, which is part of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe. During his first mandate he worked in the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs; he was a substitute for the Committee on Legal Affairs, a member of the delegation for relations with the Palestinian Legislative Council and a substitute for the delegation for relations with Australia and New Zealand.
