Madeleine Rebérioux
Madeleine Rebérioux was a French historian whose specialty was the French Third Republic. She is also a historian of the Labour movement. From 1981 to 1988, she was Vice-president of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. From 1991 to 1995 she was President of the Ligue des droits de l'homme and had been a signatory to the Manifesto of the 121. She was an officer of the Légion d'honneur. Madeleine was an active board member of Le Mouvement Social and later became its editor. Madeleine was against the war in Vietnam. She was president of French league of human rights - la Ligue des droits de l'homme - from 1991 to 1995.

Jean-Louis Laya
Jean-Louis Laya was a French playwright. He wrote his first comedy in collaboration with Gabriel-Marie Legouvé in 1785. The piece, however, though accepted by the Comédie française, was never represented. In 1789 he produced a plea for religious toleration in the form of a five-act tragedy in verse, Jean Calas. In his next work, the injustice of the disgrace cast on a family by the crime of one of its members formed the theme of Les Dangers de l'opinion (1790).
Ambroise Louis Garneray
Ambroise Louis Garneray was a French corsair, painter and writer. He served under Robert Surcouf and Jean-Marie Dutertre, and was held as prisoner-of-war by the British for eight years after being captured before being repatriated at the conclusion of the Napoleonic Wars, continuing his career as a painter until his death in 1857.
