Milan Lasica
Milan Lasica was a popular Slovak comedian, actor, singer, writer, lyricist and satirist. Active from 1961 up to his death, he was known mainly from his double act with Július Satinský and their collaboration with musician Jaroslav Filip.
František Hossa
František Hossa is a Slovak former ice hockey player and the current head coach of Spartak Moscow of the KHL. Both his sons, Marián and Marcel, are professional ice hockey players. As of 2002, he is also the assistant coach of the Slovakia men's national ice hockey team.
Pál Kadosa
Pál Kadosa was a pianist and Hungarian composer of the post-Bartók generation. His early style was influenced by Hungarian folklore while his later works were more toward Hindemith and expressively forceful idioms. He was born in Levice. He studied at the national Hungarian Royal Academy of Music under Zoltán Székely and Zoltán Kodály. He was appointed to the faculty of the Fodor School in 1927 where he taught until 1943 when he was forced out due to wartime political issues.
Miroslav Válek
Miroslav Válek was a Slovak poet, publicist and politician. He was also the Minister of Culture in the government of Slovak Socialistic Republic within the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.
Árpád Feszty
Árpád Feszty was a Hungarian painter. He was born in the town of Ógyalla. His ancestors were German settlers. He was the fifth child of Silvester Rehrenbeck (1819–1910), an affluent landowner at Ógyalla, and his wife Jozefa (Linzmayer). Silvester was ennobled by the emperor on 21 April 1887, and the family thereafter took the name Martosi Feszty. Feszty mostly painted scenes from Hungarian history and religion.
Martin Skotnický
Martin Skotnický is a Slovak ice dancing coach and former competitor for Czechoslovakia. With his sister, Diana Skotnická, he is the 1970 Winter Universiade champion and a five-time Czechoslovak national champion (1970–74). They placed sixth at the 1973 European Championships.
