Hugo Alfaro was a Uruguayan journalist, intellectual and film critic. In his youth he contributed to the famous weekly newspaper Marcha. Later, in 1985, he was the main founder of the newspaper Brecha.

Zaki Badr was an Egyptian major general and the former interior minister of Egypt who served in the post from 1986 to 1990 in the Sedki Cabinet. Badr had a confrontational approach during his term.

Darrell Keith Miller is an American former professional baseball catcher/outfielder, playing from 1985 through 1988. Before being drafted to the Major League Baseball (MLB), he played three seasons at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. He played his entire career for the California Angels, the team that drafted him in the 9th round of the 1979 Major League Baseball Draft. He played in 224 career MLB games, batting .241 with 13 doubles, 8 home runs, and 35 runs batted in, in 394 at-bats. As a member of the team in 1986, the Angels advanced to the American League Championship Series, losing to the Boston Red Sox.

Charles Manuel Pasarell Jr. is a Puerto Rican tennis player, tennis administrator and founder of the current Indian Wells tournament. He has also commented for the Tennis Channel and with Arthur Ashe and Sheridan Snyder formed the National Junior Tennis League. He was ten times ranked in the top ten of the U.S. and No. 1 in 1967 and world No. 11 in 1966. Representing the United States as a player, he has been heavily engaged in the administration of the professional game from the inception of the ATP in 1972 and has been Vice President when he was still playing and until recently on the Board of Directors representing the Americas tournaments. In 2013, Pasarell was elected into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

After his graduation from Faculty of Chemistry of Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul, he completed the doctorate program of Faculty of Management of Istanbul University. He worked as an assistant in the Chair of Industrial Inorganic Chemistry between 1973 and 1976. He was the president of the Istanbul Chamber of Chemical Engineers between 1972 and 1974 and the president of Kimsan Labor Union in 1973.
