Radu-Anton Câmpeanu was a Romanian politician. He was president of the National Liberal Party (PNL) between 1990 and 1993, a party he helped re-found after the fall of communism, and a Senator between 1990 and 1992 and also between 2004 and 2008. He ran against Ion Iliescu in the 1990 Romanian presidential elections, in which he came second with 10.64% of the vote. He retained the honorific title of "1990 Founding President" of the party, and was a member in the Central Political Bureau of the party.

William Courtenay, 1st Viscount Courtenay, also de jure 7th Earl of Devon, was a British peer. He was the son of William Courtenay, 6th Earl of Devon and 2nd Baronet Courtenay, and Lady Anne Bertie.

John Philip Kemble was an English actor. He was born into a theatrical family as the eldest son of Roger Kemble, actor-manager of a touring troupe. His elder sister Sarah Siddons achieved fame with him on the stage of the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. His other siblings, Charles Kemble, Stephen Kemble, Ann Hatton, and Elizabeth Whitlock, also enjoyed success on the stage.

Jaroslav Vrchlický was a Czech lyrical poet. He was nominated for the Nobel prize in literature eight times.
