Tawfiq al-Hakim or Tawfik el-Hakim was a prominent Egyptian writer and visionary. He is one of the pioneers of the Arabic novel and drama. The triumphs and failures that are represented by the reception of his enormous output of plays are emblematic of the issues that have confronted the Egyptian drama genre as it has endeavored to adapt its complex modes of communication to Egyptian society.

Mahmoud Sami Al Baroudi was a significant Egyptian political figure and a prominent poet. He served as 5th Prime Minister of Egypt from 4 February 1882 until 26 May 1882. He was known as rab alseif wel qalam رب السيف و القلم. His father belonged to an Ottoman-Egyptian family while his mother was a Greek woman who converted to Islam upon marrying his father.
Mariam Fakhr Eddine
Mariam Mohamed Fakhr Eddine was an Egyptian film and television actress. She was nicknamed the "Beauty of the Screen". Before pursuing a career in acting, she won the title of Most Beautiful Face in a pageant organised by the French-language magazine Image. She was discovered by director Mahmoud Zulficar, her future husband. Mariam Fakhr Eddine's first film appearance was in the 1951 film A Night of Love and she went on to appear in the films The Murderous Suspicion (1953), Devil of the Sahara (1954), The Love Message (1954) and A Window on Paradise (1954).

Hassan Shehata is an Egyptian former professional football player who played as a Forward, and is a former football manager. Shehata led Egypt to three successive titles at the African Cup of Nations in 2006, 2008 and 2010, becoming the first ever, and to date, only coach to win 3 consecutive Africa Cup of Nations titles. Shehata is one of only two coaches to win the Africa Cup 3 times, along with Ghana's Charles Gyamfi.

Sedki Sobhy Sayyid Ahmad is an Egyptian politician and former General who was Minister of Defence of Egypt from 2014 until 2018. Sobhy previously served as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces from August 2012 to March 2014. He was sworn in as Minister of Defence in March 2014 after Abdul Fattah al-Sisi resigned so he could stand for the presidency. He also commanded the Third Army for a time.
