Gideon Klein was a Czech pianist, classical music composer, educator and organizer of cultural life at Theresienstadt concentration camp.

Václav Varaďa is a Czech former professional ice hockey player and current coach. He formerly played in the National Hockey League (NHL) in a ten-year span. In his professional career, he has previously played for the Buffalo Sabres and the Ottawa Senators. Varaďa is known for his physicality in a third or fourth line role.

Robert Thoeren (1903–1957) was a German screenwriter and film actor. Thoeren was born in Moravia, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. After the First World War the German-speaking Thoeren emigrated to Germany where he became a theatre and film actor. Thoeren appeared in leading roles in several German-language films made by Paramount at the Joinville Studios in Paris.

Jan Březina is a Czech politician and Member of the European Parliament with TOP 09, part of the European People's Party and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. He was elected for Christian Democratic Union - Czechoslovak People's Party, but left the party in February 2012.
