Massimo Federici is an Italian politician. He is member of the Democratic Party. He served as mayor of La Spezia from 2007 to 2017 and as President of the Province of La Spezia from 2014 to 2017.

Jean-Antoine Brutus Menier was a French entrepreneur and founder of the Menier family of chocolatiers. Born in Germain-de-Bourgeuil, Indre-et-Loire, he was the third child in a family of merchants. In 1811 Antoine Brutus Menier was enrolled in the La Flèche Military Academy where he studied the composition of pharmaceuticals. The following year the 17-year-old served with the medical staff of La Grande Armée in Napoleon's invasion of Russia. In 1813 he was employed at Val-de-Grâce military hospital in Paris.

Jean Maréchal was a French racing cyclist, who was professional from 1929 to 1947. He rode in the 1931 Tour de France. He also won the 1930 Paris–Tours.

Agnès Godard is a French cinematographer. She is most famous for her long-running collaboration with filmmaker Claire Denis. For her work, she has won a César Award.

Jacques-Clément Métezeau, also Clément II Métezeau, was Royal architect of Louis XIII, and French engineer who completed the seawall blocking the city of La Rochelle in the Siege of La Rochelle in 1627–1628.

Pierre-Jules Hetzel was a French editor and publisher. He is best known for his extraordinarily lavishly illustrated editions of Jules Verne's novels, highly prized by collectors today.
