Henry IV of Castile, King of Castile, nicknamed "the Impotent", was the last of the weak late medieval kings of Castile. During Henry's reign, the nobles became more powerful and the nation became less centralised.

Ferdinand III, called the Saint, was King of Castile from 1217 and King of León from 1230 as well as King of Galicia from 1231. He was the son of Alfonso IX of León and Berenguela of Castile. Through his second marriage he was also Count of Aumale. Ferdinand III was one of the most successful kings of Castile, securing not only the permanent union of the crowns of Castile and León, but also masterminding the most expansive campaign of Reconquista yet.

Tomás de Torquemada, also anglicised as Thomas of Torquemada, was a Castilian Dominican friar and first Grand Inquisitor in Spain's movement to homogenise religious practices with those of the Catholic Church in the late 15th century, otherwise known as the Spanish Inquisition.

María del Rosario López Piñuelas better known as Charo López, is a Spanish actress.

Carmen Martín Gaite was a Spanish author. She wrote in many genres, including novels, short stories, and essays. She also wrote screenplays. Over the course of her life, she won various awards, including the Premio Nadal in 1957 for Entre visillos, the Prince of Asturias Awards in 1988, the Award Premio Castilla y León de las Letras in 1992, and the Premio Acebo de Honor awarded to her life work.

Víctor Barrio Hernanz was a Spanish bullfighter from Segovia. He was killed by a bull during the Feria del Ángel festival in Teruel; the bullfight was broadcast live on television. He was the first bullfighter to be killed in Spain since 1985.

José Ramón Calderón Ramos is a Spanish lawyer who is the former President of Real Madrid. He got his Law Degree in the University of Navarra, Spain in 1974 and he worked in London, England, as a lawyer, in 1975 and 1976. A member of the Madrid Bar Association since 1976, Calderón opened his Law Firm: Calderon Abogados, where he has been working during the last 40 years.
