James Craig Watson was a Canadian-American astronomer, discoverer of comets and minor planets, director of the University of Michigan's Detroit Observatory in Ann Arbor, and awarded with the Lalande Prize in 1869.

Eric Wohlberg is a Canadian former professional racing cyclist. He competed for his native country at three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996. Wohlberg won two medals at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He also won the Tour of the Gila in 2000. He is also a multi-time Canadian National Time Trial Champion. He still races as an amateur against regional professionals in Northern California & Nevada. He is a directeur sportif (DS) for Rally Cycling.

Sebastian Salas is a Canadian professional road racing cyclist who started his career in 2011 with Team Exergy. He switched to Optum–Kelly Benefit Strategies the following year. He distinguished himself in the 2012 Tour of California by winning the King of the Mountains competition, which he led from the third stage until the end of the eight stage race. Starting in 2014, Salas served a two-year doping violation ban issued by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport for missing a 2013 in-competition doping test.

Scott McKay is a Canadian politician, who served as a former leader of the Green Party of Quebec and a former Montreal council member. McKay was elected in 2008 to the Quebec National Assembly for the Parti Québécois but he was defeated in the 2014 Quebec election.
