Sir Thomas Lawrence was a leading English portrait painter and the fourth president of the Royal Academy.

Damien Steven Hirst is an English artist, entrepreneur, and art collector. He is one of the Young British Artists (YBAs), who dominated the art scene in the UK during the 1990s. He is reportedly the United Kingdom's richest living artist, with his wealth estimated at $384 million in the 2020 Sunday Times Rich List. During the 1990s his career was closely linked with the collector Charles Saatchi, but increasing frictions came to a head in 2003 and the relationship ended.

Hannah Callowhill Penn was an American governor. She the second wife of Pennsylvania founder William Penn; she effectively administered the Province of Pennsylvania for six years after her husband suffered a series of strokes, and then for another eight years after her husband's death. She served as acting proprietor from 1712 until her death in 1726.

Lord Augustus William Frederick Spencer Loftus, was a British diplomat and colonial administrator. He was Ambassador to Prussia from 1865 to 1868, to the North German Confederation from 1868 to 1871 and to the Russian Empire from 1871 to 1879 and Governor of New South Wales from 1879 to 1885.

Veronica Cartwright is an English-born American actress who has worked mainly in US film and television in a career spanning six decades. As a child actress, she appeared in supporting roles in The Children's Hour and The Birds. She is best known for her roles in the 1970s science fiction films Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Alien, for which she won a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the 1980s, she appeared in The Right Stuff and The Witches of Eastwick. In the 1990s, she received three Emmy nominations as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her roles on the television series ER and The X-Files.

Adjoa Andoh is a British film, television, stage and radio actress. She is known on the UK stage for lead roles at the RSC, the National Theatre, the Royal Court Theatre and the Almeida Theatre. She is also a familiar face on British television, notably in two series of Doctor Who as companion Martha's mother Francine Jones; 90 episodes of the BBC's long-running medical drama Casualty as Staff Nurse Colette Griffiths ; and a year in the BBC's EastEnders. Shaun Anthony Woodward is a British politician who was the Labour Member of Parliament (MP) for St Helens South from 2001 to 2015. He served in the cabinet from 28 June 2007 to 11 May 2010 as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. Following the 2010 general election, Woodward was the Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland until 7 October 2011, when he was replaced by Vernon Coaker.

William Chatterton Dix was an English writer of hymns and carols. He was born in Bristol, the son of John Dix, a local surgeon, who wrote The Life of Chatterton the poet, a book of Pen Pictures of Popular English Preachers and other works. His father gave him his middle name in honour of Thomas Chatterton, a poet about whom he had written a biography. He was educated at the Grammar School, Bristol, for a mercantile career, and became manager of a maritime insurance company in Glasgow where he spent most of his life.
