Maria Andergast was a German actress. She appeared in more than 60 films between 1934 and 1974.

Emanuel Lehman was a German-born American banker. The younger brother of Henry Lehman, he was a co-founder of Lehman Brothers.

Rupprecht Geiger was a German abstract painter and sculptor. Throughout his career, he favored monochromicity and color-field paintings. For a time, he concentrated solely on the color red.

Heinrich von Ficker was a German-Austrian meteorologist and geophysicist who was a native of Munich. He was the son of historian Julius von Ficker (1826–1902).

Aloys Schmitt was a German composer, pianist and music teacher. He was born in Erlenbach am Main. In 1824 he was appointed court composer in Munich. He received an honorary doctorate from the University of Giessen.

Leopold Ullstein was the founder and publisher of several successful German newspapers, including B.Z. am Mittag and Berliner Morgenpost. Many of these are still published today. Ullstein was also the founder of the leading German publishing house Ullstein-Verlag.
