Georg Brunnhuber is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). He served as a member of the German parliament, the Bundestag, from 1990 until 2009, having been elected in the 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2005 federal elections.

Ernst Pfister was a German politician. A member of the Free Democratic Party, he served as Minister of Economics, Labour and Housing of Baden-Württemberg from 2004 to 2011.

Don Bernard Zagier is an American-German mathematician whose main area of work is number theory. He is currently one of the directors of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, Germany. He was a professor at the Collège de France in Paris, France from 2006 to 2014. Since October 2014, he is also a Distinguished Staff Associate at ICTP.

Dieter Seebach is a German chemist known for his synthesis of biopolymers and dendrimers, and for his contributions to stereochemistry. He was born on 31 October 1937 in Karlsruhe. He studied chemistry at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) under the supervision of Rudolf Criegee and at Harvard University with Elias Corey finishing in 1969. After his habilitation he became professor for organic chemistry at the University of Giessen. After six years he was appointed professor at the ETH Zurich where he worked until he retired in 2003.

Dr. Paul Wengert was the mayor of Füssen (1990-2002). From 2002-2008 he was the Mayor of Augsburg in the state of Bavaria in Germany. Since 2008 he is a member of the Landtag of Bavaria. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party.
