List of Famous people born in Austria

Eugen Jensen (1871–1957) was an Austrian stage and film actor. He worked frequently in the Austrian and German cinemas during the silent era in supporting roles in films such as The Love of Jeanne Ney (1927). Following the Anchluss of 1938, Jensen emigrated to Switzerland. He was married to the actresses Alice Lach and Rosa Montani.

Julius von Borsody was an Austrian film architect and one of the most employed set designers in the Austrian and German cinemas of the late silent and early sound film periods. His younger brother, Eduard von Borsody, was a film director in Austria and Germany. He is also the great-uncle of German actress Suzanne von Borsody.

Erwin Ortner is an Austrian conductor, especially of vocal music. He is the founder and artistic director of the Arnold Schoenberg Chor.

Martin Andreas Nowak is an Austrian-born mathematical biologist and the author of several books and scientific papers. Nowak was appointed as a Professor of Biology and Mathematics and the Director of the Program for Evolutionary Dynamics at Harvard University in 2003, and on May 2020 he was placed on paid administrative leave following his role in allowing Jeffrey Epstein access to the campus.
