Sir Ernst Hans Josef Gombrich was an Austrian-born art historian who, after settling in England in 1936, became a naturalised British citizen in 1947 and spent most of his working life in the United Kingdom.

Anna of Austria (1318–1343) was the youngest daughter of Frederick the Fair, of Austria and his wife, Isabella of Aragon. Her paternal grandparents were Albert I of Germany and Elisabeth of Tirol. Her maternal grandparents were James II of Aragon and Blanche of Anjou.

Heinrich Franz Friedrich Tietze was an Austrian mathematician, famous for the Tietze extension theorem on functions from topological spaces to the real numbers. He also developed the Tietze transformations for group presentations, and was the first to pose the group isomorphism problem. Tietze's graph is also named after him; it describes the boundaries of a subdivision of the Möbius strip into six mutually-adjacent regions, found by Tietze as part of an extension of the four color theorem to non-orientable surfaces.

Hilda Geiringer, also known as Hilda von Mises and Hilda Pollaczek-Geiringer, was an Austrian mathematician.

Mária Sulyok (1908–1987) was a Hungarian actress best known for her role in A köszívü ember fiai (1965) and Love, Emilia (1968). She was born on 24 April 1908 and died on 20 October 1987 in Budapest, Hungary.

Emil Zsigmondy was an Austrian physician and mountaineer.
