He is a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly for the Viralimalai constituency, from where he won elections in 2011 and 2016. He was previously elected from Pudukkottai constituency in 2001.

Jencarlos Canela is an American singer, songwriter and actor. Canela starred in the telenovela Más sabe el diablo, and two other telenovelas.

His mother is Corsican. Pruski grew up in 14e arrondissement in Paris. He started writing lyrics when he was nine and composing when he was 13. Being called "mini Polak", he adopted Polak (PLK) as his artistic name to emphasize his Polish roots. At 14, he was part of the formation La Confrérie alongside Ormaz and Zeu. He later became a member of the formation Panama Bende a band formed by seven young artists from Paris together releasing the EP Bende Mafia in 2016 and the album ADN in 2017.

In La Croix, Sabine Audrerie notes "S'il fallait chercher un lien, on pourrait retenir la volonté de s'inscrire dans l'héritage balzacien." Less elogious, Jérôme Dupuis of L'Express described him as "a Houellebecq without humour, without sex, without aphorism, without melancholy".
