Sonja Nef is a Swiss former alpine skier. Nef was women's World Champion in Giant Slalom in 2001. She won the 2001 and 2002 World Cup in Giant Slalom. At the 2002 Winter Olympics, she finished third in Giant Slalom.

Timo Meier is a Swiss professional ice hockey player who plays for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). At the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected by the Sharks with the ninth overall pick.

Hans-Rudolf Merz is a Swiss politician who served as a Member of the Swiss Federal Council from 2004 to 2010.
