He is known for his roles as Dr. Brett Cooper on Melrose Place and as Johnny Cage in the film adaptation of Mortal Kombat (1995), later reprising the role in the form of an exclusive premier skin in Mortal Kombat 11 (2020). He also garnered attention for his role as Sheriff Noah Stilinski in the MTV series Teen Wolf (2011-2017).
