Gerd Gies is a German politician (CDU). He was the 1st Minister President of Saxony-Anhalt after its creation following the reunification of Germany. Gies held office from October 1990 to 4 July 1991, when he was forced to resign after he was accused of having collaborated with the Stasi. He was succeeded by Werner Münch. Gies remained a parliamentary delegate until 1998. Afterwards, he worked in the energy industry and served on the board of Electrabel Germany.

Gary Waldhorn is an English actor and comedian known chiefly for his performances in British television and theatre. He is particularly known for his work in the main casts of several British sitcoms, including Richard Beamish in All at No 20, Lionel Bainbridge in Brush Strokes, and Councillor David Horton in The Vicar of Dibley.

Mariann Fischer Boel is a Danish politician, serving as European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development from 2004 to 2009. A member of the party Venstre, she had previously been minister of agriculture and foods since 2002, in the government of Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

He studied mechanics and mathematics in Dnepropetrovsk, and worked in a missile factory after graduation. Eventually, he landed at the railroad industry newspaper Gudok, where he worked for more than a decade; he also worked at Moscow News and Kommersant.
