Jim Davis was an American actor, best known for his role as Jock Ewing in the CBS prime-time soap opera, Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform.

Paul Henry Gore-Booth, Baron Gore-Booth was a British diplomat. He served with distinction in HM Diplomatic Service and in retirement held the following appointments: Director, Grindlays Bank, 1969–79, United Kingdom Provident Institution, 1969–79 and Registrar, Order of St Michael and St George, 1966–79.

George Lowther Steer was a South African-born British journalist, author and war correspondent who reported on wars preceding World War II, especially the Second Italo-Abyssinian War and the Spanish Civil War. During those wars he was employed by The Times, and his eye-witness reports did much to alert western nations of war crimes committed by the Italians in Ethiopia and by the Germans in Spain, although little was done to prevent them by the League of Nations. He returned to Ethiopia after the world war started and helped the campaign defeat the Italians and restore Hailie Selassie to the throne.

Samuel Balter Jr. was an American basketball player who won a gold medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics. He was also a renowned sportscaster.

Willi Geiger was a German judge. He was president of the Federal Court of Justice of Germany and Associate Justice in the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany. After the Nazi seizure of power 1933 Geiger joined the SA and in 1934 the National Socialist Association of Legal Professionals and National Socialist People's Welfare. In 1937 he joined the NSDAP. Geiger worked as a prosecutor at the Bamberg Sondergericht and gave at least five times capital punishment.

Fritz Hippler was a German filmmaker who ran the film department in the Propaganda Ministry of Nazi Germany, under Joseph Goebbels. He is best known as the director of the propaganda film Der Ewige Jude .

Valentina Stepanovna Grizodubova was one of the first female pilots in the Soviet Union awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union and the only female Hero of the Soviet Union to also be awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labour.

Princess Stéphanie of Windisch-Graetz was the daughter of Prince Otto Weriand of Windisch-Graetz (1873–1952) and Archduchess Elisabeth Marie of Austria (1883–1963), only child of Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria and Princess Stéphanie of Belgium. She was the great-grandchild of Emperor Franz-Joseph and Empress Elisabeth ('Sissi') of Austria. She was also the great-grandchild of King Leopold II of Belgium.
