Patrick du Val was a British mathematician, known for his work on algebraic geometry, differential geometry, and general relativity. The concept of Du Val singularity of an algebraic surface is named after him.

Mukat Behari Lal Bhargava was an Indian politician, a member of the Indian National Congress political party and a member of the Lok Sabha from 1951 to 1967.

Michael Hilliard was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD) for the Meath–Westmeath constituency at the 1943 general election. During his career he served in the governments of Seán Lemass and Jack Lynch. During his tenure as Minister for Posts and Telegraphs Hilliard oversaw the introduction of a television service in Ireland, RTÉ. He served as Minister for Defence from 1965 to 1969.

Kazuo Kubokawa was a Japanese astronomer, who, together with astronomer Okuro Oikawa, co-discovered the Mars-crosser asteroid 1139 Atami in 1929.

Oscar Castelo was a judge of the Manila Court and Secretary of National Defense of the Philippines. Born in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, Castelo enrolled at the San Juan de Letran and later at Escuela de Derecho. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1927 and was equally fluent in English and Spanish. He later moved to United States, where he died on June 20, 1982, aged 79.
