Alina Dumitru is a Romanian judoka, one-time Olympic champion and eight-time European champion. At the 2008 Summer Olympics she defeated Japanese double gold medallist Ryoko Tani, who until then had been undefeated in major international competitions for 12 years.

Hanya K Yanagihara is an American novelist, editor, and travel writer. She grew up in Hawaii.

Phillip Rhee is a South Korean-American martial artist, actor, director, screenwriter, and film producer, most famous for his role in the Best of the Best movie series.

Erick J. Weinberg is a theoretical physicist and professor of physics at Columbia University.

Robert Fred Moore, was an American artist and character animator for Walt Disney Animation Studios. Often called "Freddie," he was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Despite limited formal art training, he rose to prominence at Disney very quickly in the early 1930s, due to his great natural talent and the tremendous appeal of his drawings. His drawings are still greatly admired by animators and animation fans.

Uwe Kagelmann is a German former competitive pair skater. Competing with Manuela Groß, he was twice bronze medalist at the Olympics. He later became a figure skating coach.

Giovanni Toti is an Italian journalist and politician, who has been President of Liguria since June 2015. Toti was also elected in the European Parliament, following the 2014 European election.
