Katherine Bates is a former Australian track and road cyclist. A multiple national champion, Bates has been riding as a professional since 2002. In 2007, she became the World Points Race Champion in track. Bates finished fourth in the individual pursuit at the 2004 Summer Olympics and sixth in the points race at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Alessandro Barbero is an Italian historian, novelist and essayist.

Koji Suzuki is a Japanese writer, who was born in Hamamatsu and lives in Tokyo. Suzuki is the author of the Ring novels, which have been adapted into other formats, including films, manga, TV series and video games. He has written several books on the subject of fatherhood. His hobbies include traveling and motorcycling.

Dianne Marie Alagich is an Australian former soccer player, who last played for Adelaide United in the W-League and the Matildas. A defender, she was capped 86 times, scoring on three occasions. She is 169 cm tall and her weight is 62 kg. She is the younger sister of former Adelaide United player Richie Alagich. On 19 December 2000, she was awarded the Australian Sports Medal.

Willi Bredel was a German writer and president of the DDR Academy of Arts, Berlin. Born in Hamburg, he was a pioneer of socialist realist literature.

Mario Kummer is a retired track and road racing cyclist from East Germany, who represented his native country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. There he won the gold medal in the men's team time trial, alongside Uwe Ampler, Jan Schur and Maik Landsmann. He was a professional road cyclist from 1990 to 1998, and afterwards became a cycling manager, managing Astana for the 2007 racing year.
