List of Famous Swimmers

Milorad "Milo" Čavić is a Serbian former professional swimmer. He won a silver medal in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2008 Summer Olympics in a historic race with American swimmer Michael Phelps. Čavić also was World and European champion, as well as world record holder. He is one of three swimmers who broke 50 seconds in the 100m butterfly and he currently holds the European record.

Diana Iuliana Mocanu is a former Olympic and national record holding swimmer from Romania. She swam for Romania at the 2000 Olympics, where she won in the 100 and 200 backstrokes, both in Romanian records. She also won in the 200 meter backstroke at the 2001 World Aquatics Championships.

Rebecca Soni is an American former competition swimmer and breaststroke specialist who is a six-time Olympic medalist. She is a former world record-holder in the 100-meter breaststroke and the 200-meter breaststroke, and is the first woman to swim the 200-meter breaststroke in under 2 minutes 20 seconds. As a member of the U.S. national team, she held the world record in the 4×100-meter medley relay from 2012 to 2017.

Scott Tyler Clary is an American former competition swimmer and Olympic gold medalist. In his Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Clary won gold in the 200-meter backstroke in Olympic record time. In total, he won sixteen medals in major international competitions: three gold, eight silver, and five bronze spanning the Summer Olympics, the FINA World Championships, the Pan Pacific Championships, and the Pan American Games.

Kazuya Kaneda is a Japanese swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's 200 metre butterfly, finishing in 7th place overall in the heats, but finished 6th in his semifinal and didn't make the final.

Zoi Dimoschaki is a Greek freestyle swimmer. Dimoschaki administered the Olympic Oath at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Camelia Potec is a female Romanian swimmer, who won the gold medal in the women's 200 m freestyle at the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Jiao Liuyang is a female Chinese swimmer, who currently owns the textile world record in the 200-metre butterfly.

Amini Tuitavake Britteon Fonua is a Tongan competitive swimmer.
