Lenine Cunha is a Paralympic athlete from Portugal who competes in T20 classification long jump and triple jump events. Cunha represented Portugal at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in London, in both the long jump and the 100 metre sprint. It would be 12 years until Cunha could again compete at the Paralympics due to the T20 classification being removed from the program due to a scandal at the 2000 Games in Sydney. With the reintroduction of the T20 class at the 2012 London Games he finished third to take the bronze medal in the long jump. In 2015 Cunha won the gold medal in the triple jump at the IPC World Championships in Doha.

The founder of Nazra for Feminist Studies, she took part in the protests of the Egyptian revolution of 2011 and worked to help those who were sexually assaulted at the time. Since then she successfully campaigned for changes to be made to the Constitution of Egypt and sexual crime laws to safeguard women. Hassan was awarded the Global Fund for Women’s inaugural Charlotte Bunch Human Rights Award in 2013. She also received the Right Livelihood Awards, known as the "alternative Nobel Peace Prize", in 2016. She is currently subject to a travel ban and asset freeze by the Egyptian government for allegedly violating foreign funding laws.

Yao Gang is a Chinese executive who served as one of four Vice-Chairmen at the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), China’s top security regulator. He was investigated by the Communist Party of China's anti-graft agency in November 2015, after a stock market rout rocked global markets. Yao's downfall marked the widened government crackdown on corruption in the financial industry. Zhang Yujun (张育军), former assistant chairman of the CSRC, was placed under investigation in the end of 2015.
