Ulrich Roski was a German singer-songwriter who achieved his greatest successes in the 1970s. His songs describe the little quirks hidden in everyone's everyday life, mixing laconic humour with linguistic skill. He produced more than 20 LP's and music CDs since 1970, and some of his songs from this time even made the German TopTen, allowing him to perform at the Berliner Philharmonie. He almost exclusively performed alone.

Christian August Ulrich von Hassell was a German diplomat during World War II. A member of the German Resistance against German dictator Adolf Hitler, Hassell unsuccessfully proposed to the British the resistance would overthrow Hitler if Germany kept all of its territorial conquests. He was executed in the aftermath of the failed 20 July plot.

Ulrich Habsburg-Lothringen is an Austrian forester and politician, who was formerly in the Green Party of Austria, but is now non-partisan. He is a member of the Habsburg Family who wanted to participate in the election for the Austrian Federal President in the 2010 election. However, being member of a formerly ruling family, he was not eligible to do so. That law has been cancelled since, so he can now participate. He thought about another try for the following presidential election, which was held in April 2016, but finally decided to endorse the non-partisan judge Irmgard Griss instead.

Ulrich II, Count of East Frisia
Ulrich II of East Frisia, was count of East Frisia, was the fifth child and the third son of Enno III, Count of East Frisia and Anna of Holstein-Gottorp. He inherited the East Frisia after the unexpected death of his brother Rudolf Christian on 17 April 1628. He reigned during the Thirty Years' War. East Frisia did not participate in the war, but general Ernst von Mansfeld quartered his troops in East Frisia, causing great distress. The only exception was Emden because of the recently completed city wall, the city of Emden was protected against foreign troops.
