Robert Daum was a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and former member of the German Bundestag.

Robert Davidson (1804–1894) was a Scottish inventor who built the first known electric locomotive in 1837. He was a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, northeast Scotland, where he was a prosperous chemist and dyer, amongst other ventures. Davidson was educated at Marischal College, where he studied second and third year classes of Marischal College from 1819-1821, including lectures from Professor Patrick Copland. He got this education in return for being a lab assistant.

Robert Lee "Bob" Doughton, of Alleghany County, North Carolina, sometimes known as "Farmer Bob", was a member of the United States House of Representatives from North Carolina for 42 consecutive years (1911–1953). A Democrat originally from Laurel Springs, North Carolina, he was the Dean of the United States House of Representatives for his last few months in Congress. He is the longest-serving member ever of the United States House of Representatives from the state of North Carolina.

Robert Emmet Quinn was an American attorney and politician from Rhode Island. He served as the 58th Governor of Rhode Island and Judge for the Rhode Island Superior Court.

Robert Roth was a Swiss wrestler who won a gold medal in the freestyle heavyweight class at the 1920 Summer Olympics. Roth was a national champion in schwingen, Swiss national wrestling, in 1919 and 1921. Between 1922 and 1927 he competed as professional, but than returned to amateurs and won the national title in 1928 and 1931. His younger brothers Hans and Fritz were also Olympic wrestlers.
