Rian Craig Johnson is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is known for writing and directing the neo-noir film Brick (2005), the comedy-drama The Brothers Bloom (2008), the science-fiction thriller Looper (2012), the space opera Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), and the murder-mystery Knives Out (2019), the last of which was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and earned Johnson a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Rian Swastedian is an Indonesian badminton player from the Jaya Raya badminton club. He was part of the Indonesia Junior team that won the bronze medal at the 2013 Asian Junior Championships. Swastedian was promoted to join the national team in 2014. He was the mixed doubles champion at the 2015 Vietnam International Series tournament partnered with Masita Mahmudin.

Rian James (né Julian Herbert Rothschild; October 3, 1899 – April 26, 1953) was an American screenwriter and author. He wrote for 39 films between 1932 and 1947.

Rian Agung Saputro is an Indonesian badminton player. He was partnered with Angga Pratama in men's doubles, but split after the 2014 Asian Games. Saputro was then partnered with Berry Angriawan. They debuted at the 2014 Hong Kong Super Series. They won their first Grand Prix Gold title at the 2015 Indonesian Masters. In 2016, he was paired with former Olympic gold medalist, Hendra Setiawan. Saputro was then paired with Setiawan's former partner, Mohammad Ahsan. Ahsan and Saputro's first international title was in 2017 China International. They later won silver at the 2017 BWF World Championships.
