Muhammad Rudi is the mayor of Batam, the largest city in the Riau Islands province after being elected in 2015 where he won 185,845 votes (60.40%) in the 2-candidate race. Previously, he had served as deputy mayor for 5 years. During his tenures in the city governance, he had been member of three political parties: National Awakening Party until 2013, Democratic Party until 2016, and currently he is a member of the Nasdem Party.

Chaudhry Sir Muhammad Zafarullah Khan was a Pakistani jurist and diplomat who served as the first Foreign Minister of Pakistan. After serving as foreign minister he continued his international career and was the first Asian and the only Pakistani to preside over the International Court of Justice. He also served as the President of the UN General Assembly. He is the only person till date to serve as the President of both UN General Assembly and the International Court of Justice.

Seyyed Mohammad Hojjat Kuh-Kamari was a Shia jurist and scholar in the principles of Islamic jurisprudence, hadith studies and narration studies. He was a Grand Ayatollah (marja') among Shia and founded the Hojjatiyyah School in Qom.

Muhammad Husayn Tabataba'i or Sayyid Mohammad Hossein Tabataba'i was an Iranian scholar, theorist, philosopher and one of the most prominent thinkers of modern Shia Islam. He is perhaps best known for his Tafsir al-Mizan, a twenty-seven-volume work of tafsir, which he produced between 1954 and 1972. He is commonly known as Allameh Tabataba'i and the Allameh Tabataba'i University in Tehran is named after him.

Abū ‘Abd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Sa‘d ibn Manī‘ al-Baṣrī al-Hāshimī or simply Ibn Saʿ'd and nicknamed "Scribe of Waqidi", was a scholar and Arabian biographer. Ibn Sa'd was born in 784/785 CE and died on 16 February 845 CE. Ibn Sa'd was from Basra, but lived mostly in Baghdad, hence the nisba al-Basri and al-Baghdadi respectively. He is said to have died at the age of 62 in Baghdad and was buried in the cemetery of the Syrian gate.

Muhammad II al-Mahdi was the fourth Caliph of Córdoba of the Umayyad dynasty in Al-Andalus. After disbanding his army of 7,000 troops, he became the source of opposition to many of his subjects. Al-Mahdi sought to defend his title as Caliph after the rise of Suleiman II as a political opponent. After a turbulent rule, in which many warring factions rose to power in an attempt to supplant al-Mahdi, he was eventually deposed. After his death, many Muslim historians accused him of destroying the sanctity of the Amirid Harem.
