Maurice Archambaud was a French professional cyclist from 1932 to 1944. His short stature earned him the nickname of le nabot, or "the dwarf", but his colossal thighs made him an exceptional rider.

Maurice Mollin was a Belgian racing cyclist. He rode in the 1947 and 1948 Tour de France. He finished in fifth place in the 1957 Paris–Roubaix.

Maurice Lugeon FRS(For) HFRSE FGS was a Swiss geologist, and the pioneer of nappe tectonics. He was a pupil of Eugène Renevier. Named for Maurice Lugeon, the lugeon is a measure of transmissivity in rocks, determined by pressurized injection of water through a bore hole driven through the rock. One Lugeon (Lu) is equivalent to one litre of water per minute, injected into 1 metre of borehole at an injection pressure of 10 atmospheres.

Maurice Harry Rapf was an American screenwriter and professor of film studies. His work includes the screenplays for early Disney live-action features Song of the South (1946) and So Dear to My Heart (1949), uncredited work on the screenplay for the animated feature Cinderella (1950), and several films of the late 1930s. He was a co-founder of the Screen Writers Guild. He was blacklisted in 1947 due to his association with the Communist Party USA. He later taught film studies at Dartmouth College.
