Liu Guoliang is a retired Chinese table tennis player who has won all titles at major world tournaments including World Championships, World Cup and Olympic Games. The second man to achieve a career grand slam of 3 majors. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest players and coaches of all time. He has also played with Kong Linghui in the doubles.

Liu Zongyuan was a Chinese philosopher, poet, and politician who lived during the Tang Dynasty. Liu was born in present-day Yongji, Shanxi. Along with Han Yu, he was a founder of the Classical Prose Movement. He has been traditionally classed as one of the "Eight Great Prose Masters of the Tang and Song".

Liu Jiayu
Liu Jiayu is a Chinese snowboarder whose specialization is the half-pipe. She has six World Cup Victories and a halfpipe victory at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships 2009. She began snowboarding in 2003, switching over from martial arts at the relatively late age of 11. Liu competed for China at the 2010, 2014, and 2018 Winter Olympics, where she achieved 4th, 9th, and 2nd place respectively.

Liu Chih-pin
Liu Chih-Pin is a Taiwanese admiral who is currently the Chief of the Naval Staff of the Republic of China Navy. He previously served as deputy Chief of the General Staff. From 2 January to 15 January 2020, he served as acting Chief of the General Staff due to the demise of then Chief of the General Staff Shen Yi-ming. Prior to being deputy Chief of the General Staff, he was Navy Chief of Staff and also deputy commander of the navy. He graduated from ROC Naval Academy, National Defense University, Naval Command and Staff College and Taiwan War College.

Liu Yuchen is a Chinese badminton player. He was the men's doubles World Champion in 2018, two times Asian Champion in 2017 and 2018, and also a silver medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics partnered with Li Junhui. Liu was part of the national team member that won the 2018 Asian Games, 2018 Thomas Cup and 2019 Sudirman Cup. Together with Li, he achieved the men's doubles world number 1 in 6 April 2017, and occupied the top ranking for ten weeks.
