Prior to his 2006 imprisonment, Guo worked as a legal advisor to the Shanghai Shengzhi Law Firm.

Guo Qilin is an actor and a crosstalk (Xiangsheng) performer. Xiangsheng (相声), also known as crosstalk, is a traditional art form that was originally used for selling things on the street. Then it developed into a stage performance that intends to make audiences laugh. Guo Qilin is famous for his appearances in Deyunshe crosstalk performances and the TV series My Heroic Husband. He was awarded Best Actor at the 13th Macau International Festival. His debut drama The Story of Niu Tianci built a strong fanbase for him, and he won the New Actor of the Year in the 2021 One Drama Awards.

Guo Zhengxin is a Chinese former competitive figure skater who competed in men's singles. He finished 8th at the 1998 Winter Olympics and 7th at the World Figure Skating Championships the following year. He was the first skater to land two quadruple toe loops in the free skate.

Guo Wenjun is a female Chinese sport shooter who won three of the four gold medals in women's pistol shooting during the European part of the 2008 ISSF World Cup. She won gold in the women's 10 metre air pistol at the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. She is the only woman to have defended women's 10 metre air pistol title at the Olympic Games.
Guo Xinwa
Guo Xinwa is a Chinese badminton player. Guo won 2018 Asian Junior Championships in the mixed doubles with partner Liu Xuanxuan. In his early career, he joined the Jinzhou Sports School badminton team for training at the age of 8, and afterwards joined the Shandong team at the age of 13. When he turned 17, he represented the Shandong team in the National Games and won 2–1 against Beijing team. His upset victory over Lin Dan made him famous in the first battle.
