Gunnerius Ingvald Isachsen, was a Norwegian military officer and polar scientist. From 1923, he was the first president of the Norwegian Maritime Museum.

Gunnar Knudsen, born Aanon Gunerius Knudsen, was a Norwegian politician from the Liberal Party who had two terms as Prime Minister of Norway from 1908 to 1910 and from 1913 to 1920. He also owned a number of shipping companies, and founded the shipping company, Borgestad ASA.

Gunnar Helén was a Swedish liberal politician. He was party leader of Liberal People's Party 1969–1975, Governor of Kronoberg County 1965–1970 and of Stockholm County 1977–1984.

Gunnar Johansen was a Danish-born pianist and composer. He was one of the chief proponents of the music of Ferruccio Busoni, whose mature keyboard works he recorded in their entirety, as well as the complete keyboard works of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Gunnar Säve-Söderbergh was a Swedish palaeontologist and geologist. Säve-Söderbergh was born at Falun, the son of the neurologist Gotthard Söderbergh and Inga Säve. He passed his G.C.E. at Gothenburg in 1928 and took bachelor's and licentiate's degrees at Uppsala University in 1931 and 1933, respectively. He was appointed professor of geology, historical geology in particular, at Uppsala in 1937.

Gunnar Mikael Höckert was a Finnish runner, winner of the 5000 m race at the 1936 Summer Olympics.
