Georg Balthasar Metzger was a German physician and scientist notable as one of the four founding members of the Academy of Sciences Leopoldina in Schweinfurt.

Georg Landsberg was a German-Jewish mathematician, known for his work in the theory of algebraic functions and on the Riemann–Roch theorem. The Takagi–Landsberg curve, a fractal that is the graph of a nowhere-differentiable but uniformly continuous function, is named after Teiji Takagi and him.

Georg Max Thiele was an Imperial German Navy officer Korvettenkapitän killed during World War I. During World War I he commanded the Seventh Half Flotilla of torpedo boats, based in Flanders. His ship, Torpedoboot SMS S119, was sunk with his entire flotilla by superior British forces while on a minelaying mission in October 1914 during the Battle off Texel.

Georg Ernst Stahl was a German chemist, physician and philosopher. He was a supporter of vitalism, and until the late 18th century his works on phlogiston were accepted as an explanation for chemical processes.
