He previously served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2017, and the Mecklenburg County Commission from 2005 to 2009.

He was previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Miami. Enos served as head football coach at Central Michigan University from 2010 to 2014.
