Aleksander Griboyedov
Alexander Sergeyevich Griboyedov, formerly romanized as Alexander Sergueevich Griboyedoff, was a Russian diplomat, playwright, poet, and composer. He is recognized as homo unius libri, a writer of one book, whose fame rests on the verse comedy Woe from Wit or The Woes of Wit. He was Russia's ambassador to Qajar Persia, where he and all the embassy staff were massacred by an angry mob as a result of the rampant anti-Russian sentiment that existed through Russia's imposing of the Treaty of Gulistan (1813) and Treaty of Turkmenchay (1828), which had forcefully ratified for Persia's ceding of its northern territories comprising Transcaucasia and parts of the North Caucasus. Griboyedov had played a pivotal role in the ratification of the latter treaty.

Aleksander Doba
Aleksander Doba is a Polish kayaker known primarily for his long voyages crossing oceans. In 2010 and again in 2013 he kayaked across the Atlantic Ocean westward under his own power. The two voyages were the longest open-water kayak voyages ever made. He was named 2014 Adventurer of the Year by National Geographic. In 2017 he completed an eastward kayaking trip across the Atlantic.
Aleksander Barkov Jr.
Aleksander Aleksandrovich "Sasha" Barkov is a Finnish-Russian professional ice hockey centre and captain of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Barkov was selected by the Panthers in the first round, second overall, of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He is the son of former Russian hockey player Alexander Barkov Sr. and holds dual Finnish and Russian citizenship. He grew up in Tampere, Finland, where his father was playing for Tappara of the Finnish SM-Liiga at the time. Aleksander Barkov Jr. himself joined Tappara’s junior system and started his professional career with the club in the Finnish Elite League.

Aleksander Barkov
Alexander Edgardovich Barkov is a retired Russian professional ice hockey player and coach. He played a long career for Sibir Novosibirsk and Spartak Moscow in the Soviet Union, and later for Tappara of the Finnish SM-liiga. His son Aleksander Barkov Jr. was born in Finland and is the captain of the Florida Panthers of the NHL.
Aleksander Kwaśniewski
Aleksander Kwaśniewski is a Polish politician and journalist. He served as the President of Poland from 1995 to 2005. He was born in Białogard, and during the communist rule, he was active in the Socialist Union of Polish Students and was the Minister for Sport in the Communist government during the 1980s. After the fall of Communism, he became a leader of the left-wing Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland, a successor to the former ruling Polish United Workers' Party, and a co-founder of the Democratic Left Alliance.
