Şerif Gören is a Turkish film director. Aside from important movies under his own signature, he is also the winner of the Palme d'Or award in Cannes Film Festival in 1982 for the film Yol, which he had directed on behalf of Yılmaz Güney, who at the time was serving a prison sentence for the murder of Yumurtalık judge Sefa Mutlu.

Luis Miguel Valdez is a Chicano playwright, screenwriter, film director and actor. Regarded as the father of Chicano film and theater, Valdez is best known for his play Zoot Suit, his movie La Bamba, and his creation of El Teatro Campesino. A pioneer in the Chicano Movement, Valdez broadened the scope of theatre and arts of the Chicano community.

Vivarium is a 2019 science fiction thriller film directed by Lorcan Finnegan, from a story by Finnegan and Garret Shanley. An international co-production between Ireland, Denmark, and Belgium, the film stars Imogen Poots and Jesse Eisenberg.

Deran Sarafian is an American film and television director and former actor. He directed Death Warrant, Gunmen, and Terminal Velocity. He has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Robert Clark Gregg is an American actor, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for playing Agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011), The Avengers (2012), Captain Marvel (2019), and the television spin-off series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013–2020). Gregg also voiced Phil Coulson on the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man (2012–2017) and in the video games Lego Marvel Super Heroes (2013), Marvel Heroes (2013), and Lego Marvel's Avengers (2016).

Abbas Tyrewala is an Indian film screenwriter and director. After making his mark as a screenwriter and dialogue writer in early 2000s, with award-winning films like Maqbool (2003), Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003), he made his debut as a director in 2008 with a breezy romantic comedy, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, an A. R. Rahman musical.

Sebastian Junger is an American journalist, author and filmmaker. He is noted for his book The Perfect Storm: A True Story of Men Against the Sea (1997), a creative nonfiction work which became a bestseller; and for his documentary films Restrepo (2010) and Korengal (2014), which won awards. He also wrote the book War (2010).

Wojciech Smarzowski is a Polish screenwriter and director. He studied filmmaking at the Jagiellonian University and the National Film School in Łódź (1990). His 2004 film, The Wedding earned special jury mention at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2005. He began his film career as a video camera operator.

Vincent Patar is a Belgian film director and screenwriter. In 2009 he wrote and directed the animated film A Town Called Panic along with Stéphane Aubier. It premiered at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and was the first stop-motion film to be screened at the festival. In 2013 he co-directed with Aubier and Benjamin Renner the film Ernest & Celestine, which received widespread critical acclaim. The film received three Magritte Awards, including Best Film and Best Director for Patar and Aubier. It also received a nomination at the 86th Academy Awards, in the category of Best Animated Feature.

Stacy Title was an American film director, screenwriter and producer. Her films include Let the Devil Wear Black (1999), The Last Supper (1995), and Down on the Waterfront (1993), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award.
