The film garnered critical acclaim and Tiwari went on to direct its Tamil remake entitled Amma Kanakku. She had previously served as the Executive Creative Director at Leo Burnett before she moved on to pursue a filmmaking career. Tiwari won the Filmfare Award for Best Director for the 2017 comedy Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Sidney Poitier is a Bahamian-American retired actor, film director, and ambassador. In 1964, Poitier won the Academy Award for Best Actor becoming the first black male and Afro-Bahamian actor to win that award. He is the oldest living and earliest surviving Best Actor Academy Award winner. From 1997 to 2007, he served as the Bahamian Ambassador to Japan.

Glen Morgan is an American television producer, writer and director. Most recognized for his work on The X-Files and the Final Destination franchise, Morgan has worked on many other projects including Amazon's Lore and New Line Cinema's Willard. In 2017, he was an executive producer on season eleven of The X-Files which premiered in 2018 on Fox. He also serves as an executive producer on The Twilight Zone reboot by Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions.
