Mania.com comments on his role of Kintaro Oe that he "practiced months before hand, to the point of going hoarse from overwork, to perfect Kintaro's voice" and "there's no one who could replace him for this role". He is also known for the role of Kaneda in the 1988 anime film Akira and won the 7th Seiyu Awards for Best Personality in 2013. He was previously affiliated with Office Osawa and Across Entertainment, but is currently affiliated with Aoni Production.

He was the men's doubles World Champion in 2018, two times Asian Champion in 2017 and 2018, and also a silver medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics partnered with Li Junhui. Liu was part of the national team member that won the 2018 Asian Games, 2018 Thomas Cup and 2019 Sudirman Cup. Together with Li, he achieved the men's doubles world number 1 in 6 April 2017, and occupied the top ranking for ten weeks.

Masayoshi Yoshino is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet. A native of Iwaki, Fukushima and graduate of Waseda University, he was elected to the first of his three terms in the assembly of Fukushima Prefecture in 1987 and then to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2000. In 2012, he won a seat in the House of Representatives for the Chugoku region, and in 2014 returned to Fukushima which he has represented since 2014.

Kamon Iizumi is a Japanese politician and the current governor of Tokushima Prefecture in Japan, first elected in 2007. A native of Ikeda, Osaka and graduate of the University of Tokyo, he had worked at the Ministry of Home Affairs since 1984 before elected as a Governor of Tokushima Prefecture in late 2003.
