Walter Bedell Smith
General Walter Bedell "Beetle" Smith was a senior officer of the United States Army who served as General Dwight D. Eisenhower's chief of staff at Allied Forces Headquarters (AFHQ) during the Tunisia Campaign and the Allied invasion of Italy in 1943, during World War II. He was Eisenhower's chief of staff at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) in the campaign in Western Europe from 1944 to 1945.

Matthew Smith is a British computer game programmer. He created the games Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy for the ZX Spectrum, released in 1983 and 1984 respectively. Smith left the games industry in 1988 and later moved to the Netherlands. He has since returned to the UK and has worked on some games as well as appearing at conventions and in documentaries.

Wayne Ross Smith is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player. He is the coach of the Black Ferns. He was the assistant coach of the All Blacks for 16 years. Nicknamed "The Professor", Smith is considered the All Blacks tactical genius and has helped engineer two Rugby World Cup triumphs by helping coach them to victory at the 2011 Rugby World Cup and the 2015 Rugby World Cup. He is one of two coaches to win two back-to-back Rugby World Cups. He coached the Crusaders to win the 1998 and 1999 Super Rugby title. He also helped the Chiefs to win the 2012 Super Rugby title and 2013 Super Rugby title.
