Morikawa has three PGA Tour wins – including a major championship, the 2020 PGA Championship. In May 2018, Morikawa spent three weeks as the top-ranked golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Toshiyuki Morikawa is a Japanese voice actor, narrator and singer who is the head of Axlone, a voice acting company he founded in April 2011. His name is also sometimes mistranslated as Tomoyuki Morikawa. In 2003, he and Fumihiko Tachiki formed the band "2Hearts", one of their works being the ending theme of the video game Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires. Marino Morikawa is a Peruvian-Japanese scientist. He has a master's degree in Interdisplinary Biodiplomacy and a doctorate in Environmental Sciences from the prestigious Tsukuba University in Japan. His work became well known when a short NatGeo news report featured him for the decontamination process of the small lake El Cascajo in Chancay, Peru, where he grew up as a child, using what he terms as "bubble nanotechnology." He had done research about this process. However, he had never tried it before. His father contacted him when he heard that there were plans to cover it, due to the fact it was contaminated. The recently graduated Morikawa made the decision to travel to his childhood home and decontaminate it himself. Many residents warned him that the lake was so contaminated that he'd get sick, but he paid no heed to their words. The process to decontaminate the lake took him 15 days. Because of his efforts, more than 70 species of birds and fish returned to the area. The residents have also started efforts to take care of the lake.

George Morikawa is a Japanese manga author known for the long-running series Hajime no Ippo. Born in Tokyo, Morikawa was inspired to become a manga artist upon reading Tetsuya Chiba's Harris no Kaze in elementary school.
