Walter Frederick George Williams, better known by the stage name Bill Maynard, was an English comedian and actor. He is perhaps best known for sitcom roles as the titular character in Oh No It's Selwyn Froggitt and as Fred Moffatt in The Gaffer, and for playing Claude Jeremiah Greengrass in the long-running television series Heartbeat.

Conor Paul Maynard is an English singer, songwriter, actor and YouTuber. Born and raised in Brighton, he signed a recording contract with Warner Music Group in 2011. Maynard rose to fame in 2012 when he was nominated for, and subsequently won, MTV's Brand New for 2012 award. His debut album, Contrast, was released in July 2012 which produced the successful single “Can't Say No".

Bradley Gray Maynard is an American mixed martial artist who competed in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Robert Maynard was a British lieutenant, and later captain, in the Royal Navy. Little is known about Maynard's early life, other than he was born in England in 1684 and then later joined the English Navy. He was made a lieutenant in January 1707, and by 1709 was the third lieutenant on HMS Bedford. In November 1718, Maynard was tasked with hunting down and killing the notorious pirate Blackbeard. While leading HMS Pearl, Maynard lured Blackbeard into attacking his ship off the coast of North Carolina, and in the ensuing struggle Maynard and his crew killed Blackbeard.

Maynard contributed to Mademoiselle and Harrowsmith magazines in the 1980s while also beginning a career as a novelist with the publication of her first novel, Baby Love (1981). Her second novel, To Die For (1992), drew from the Pamela Smart murder case and was adapted into the 1995 film of the same name. Maynard received significant media attention in 1998 with the publication of her memoir At Home in the World, which deals with her affair with J. D. Salinger.
