Wakanami Jun was a sumo wrestler from Iwai, Ibaraki, Japan. His highest rank was komusubi. He won a top division tournament championship in March 1968. He was also a sumo coach.

Ma Jun, courtesy name Deheng, was a Chinese mechanical engineer, inventor, and politician who lived in the state of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period of China. His most notable invention was that of the south-pointing chariot, a directional compass vehicle which actually had no magnetic function, but was operated by use of differential gears. It is because of this revolutionary device that Ma Jun is known as one of the most brilliant mechanical engineers and inventors of his day. The device was re-invented by many after Ma Jun, including the astronomer and mathematician Zu Chongzhi (429–500). In the later medieval dynastic periods, Ma Jun's south-pointing chariot was combined in a single device with the distance-measuring odometer.

Zhang Jun is a Chinese politician and former judge, serving currently as the Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, and the Minister of Justice. He formerly served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China and Vice President of the Supreme People's Court. He is also a regular contributor for Project Syndicate.

Zhang Jun (張濬), courtesy name Yuchuan (禹川), was an official of the Chinese dynasty Tang Dynasty, serving as a chancellor during the reigns of Emperor Xizong and Emperor Xizong's brother Emperor Zhaozong. Early in Emperor Zhaozong's reign, Zhang was a major advocate for the imperial campaign to regain power from the regional warlords, but was removed after commanding a disastrous campaign against Li Keyong and forced into retirement. Late in Emperor Zhaozong's reign, with Emperor Zhaozong physically controlled by another warlord, Zhu Quanzhong, who had designs on taking over the throne as emperor, Zhu, while formerly an ally of Zhang's, was concerned that Zhang would encourage other warlords into a coordinated campaign against Zhu to stop his takeover, and so had his ally Zhang Quanyi slaughter Zhang Jun and his household.

Yang Jun (楊駿), courtesy name Wenzhang (文長), was a Jin Dynasty (265-420) official during the reign of Emperor Wu and regent for Emperor Hui.

Ge Jun, is the associate professor and master instructor of College of Mathematics and Computer Science of Nanjing Normal University. Ge took part in the composing and designing process of the mathematics paper of the National College Entrance Examination for several times. The papers of the year 2003, 2010 and 2012 were regarded as “extremely difficult” by examinees. As a result, he is called "the Emperor of Mathematics" by netizens in China. Some media also use this nickname.

Baron Matsumoto Jun , previously known as Matsumoto Ryōjun , was a Japanese physician and photographer who served as the personal physician to the last shōgun, Tokugawa Yoshinobu. Foreign Minister Hayashi Tadasu was his brother and Navy Minister Enomoto Takeaki was his distant relative.
