Heinrich Malangré was a German business executive, lawyer, publisher and philanthropist. An observant Catholic, he held many church offices and was a knight of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre.

David Rubinger was an Israeli photographer and photojournalist. His famous photo of three Israeli paratroopers after the recapture of the Western Wall has become an iconic image of the Six-Day War. Shimon Peres called Rubinger "the photographer of the nation in the making".

José Luis Pérez de Arteaga was a Spanish announcer, critic, journalist, and musicologist.

Ramón Armando Cabrero Muñíz was a Spanish - Argentine footballer. He was the manager of Atlético Nacional in Colombia until April 5, 2010. Cabrero is widely considered one of the greatest idols and a symbol of Lanús.

Kira Golovko, née Ivanova was a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, winner of the Stalin Prize (1947) and People's Artist of the RSFSR (1957).

Lothar Thoms was a track cyclist from East Germany, who represented his native country at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Russia. There he won the gold medal in the men's 1 km time trial by marking a new indoor world record. His time of 1'02"955 was more than 2 sec better than the previous record of the same year held by Urs Freuler. He also won four gold medals in the 1 km time trial (amateurs) at the 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1981 world championships respectively, thus winning all kilo events at the major international competitions in five consecutive years. In 1981 he was elected East German Sportspersonality of the year.

Armand Gatti was a French playwright, poet, journalist, screenwriter, filmmaker and World War II resistance fighter. His debut film Enclosure was entered into the 2nd Moscow International Film Festival where he won the Silver Prize for Best Director. Two years later, his film El Otro Cristóbal was entered into the 1963 Cannes Film Festival.
